MUDr. Gabriela Charouzová

MUDr. Gabriela Charouzová studied general medicine at 3. lékařská fakulta Univerzity Karlovy (Third Faculty of Medicine, Charles University). Since 2021 she has worked at the Department of Dermatovenereology of Oblastní nemocnice Kladno (Kladno Regional Hospital), caring for patients both on the inpatient ward and in outpatient clinics, while also practising in dermatology clinics in Prague and Kladno. It is this combination of hospital and outpatient work that matters for patients. On the ward she encounters the more severe and less common courses of skin disease, which means that in the clinic she recognises earlier the diagnoses that appear only occasionally and are easily missed. She sets aside enough time for an examination, explains everything clearly, and plans treatment together with the patient — that is, in a way the patient understands and is able to follow. In long-term treatment, that decides the outcome more than the choice of preparation does. At DermatologyExpert she leads the treatment of acne in adolescents and adults, from topical treatment through systemic therapy to dealing with the scarring acne leaves behind. She consults in Czech, English and German.
